Using High Resolution Methods for LES Type Modeling

چکیده
This paper describes some of the pros and cons to MILES type schemes for LES. The general theory of LES is reviewed with emphasis on the current problems that are faced in the field along with how MILES schemes could solve some of these problems. A method to construct numerical methods that contain a particular SGS model are also reviewed with preliminary results presented.
